What should I do if the gas stove does not ignite?

Q

What should I do if the gas stove does not ignite?

A

If the gas stove does not ignite, please refer to the following.

〈Procedure〉

1) Please check whether there is hot water in kitchen and bathroom.

If hot water is not coming out, the gas may have been shut off at the gas meter. Please try restoring the gas supply.

2)If hot water is coming out as described in step 1) but only the gas stove cannot be used, check whether the main gas valve (gas stopper's main plug) is closed.

3)If the main gas valve is open as described in step 2), check whether the batteries for the gas stove are properly installed and not depleted.

The batteries are located inside a cover on either the left or right side of the front of the stove.

※ If pressing the ignition switch briefly lights the flame but it goes out when you release the switch, the batteries are depleted. Replace them with new batteries and check if the issue is resolved.

※ If the batteries run out within one month of the date of occurrence, we will provide replacement batteries free of charge. Please report the battery type and quantity via the “Equipment Repair Request Form.

〈Example of Gas Stove Battery Location〉

For some models, such as the Paloma PD-20S(パロマPD-20S), the battery case may be located under the top plate after it is removed.

If the issue is not resolved after trying the above, please confirm the maker, model number, and detailed symptoms and report it via the “Equipment Repair Request Form.”
