You can turn on the air conditioner even without controller, if the model installed (indoor unit) has a manual button for emergency operation.

Depending on the maker/model the operation will vary. Check below the most common examples.

・By pressing the button, it will cycle through the functions (Cold air) > (Hot air) > (Off).

・Turn on an automatic mode depending on the temperature. If it's cold it will turn on as heating and if it's hot it will turn on as cooling.

・Turn on with the last configuration that was set.

・Will try to adjust to keep the temperature at 25℃.
