The Smartlock may be having a problem of the door not fitting into the frame or the deadbolt not being able to slide out from or into the strike plate correctly when locking/unlocking.
The door might be able to unlock (lock) when pressing or pulling the door to fit the frame or get it unstuck from the strike plate or you can check if there is an item stuck between the door and the frame, then remove it.

If the problem persists, try adjusting the lock knob position in the HomeHub app settings.
You need to be near the Smart Lock to perform this operation.
If you operate it incorrectly, the opening and closing may be reversed.
If you make a mistake in the settings, try setting them again.
