Q

What should I do if a window air conditioner (installed in a window) is not blowing air?

A

If a window air conditioner (installed in some properties in Hokkaido) is not blowing air, please check the following:

※Window air conditioners are installed in some properties in the Hokkaido region.

〈Check procedure〉

1)Check whether the window behind the air conditioner is open. If the window is closed, open it.

2)Check that nothing, such as curtains, is blocking the air intake at the back of the air conditioner. If anything is obstructing it, remove it.

3)Check whether the louvers on the air conditioner's front air outlet are open. If they are closed, open them.

※The louvers do not move automatically, so they must be opened manually each time.

4)If the issue is not resolved after checking steps 1)–3), turn off the air conditioner, unplug it from the outlet, and then plug it back in.

5)Turn the air conditioner back on and check whether air is now coming out.

If air still does not come out after trying the above, please provide the manufacturer, model number, and detailed symptoms of the air conditioner via the “Equipment Repair Request Form.”
