How to drain the water from an outdoor water heater
Please check the following information regarding draining water from outdoor water heaters.
During cold weather, it is necessary to drain the water from the water heater to prevent it from freezing.
For instructions on draining water from an outdoor water heater, please refer to the video below or follow steps 1 to 6.
〈Procedure for draining water from an outdoor water heater〉
1.Open the door located below the water heater, either on the right or left side of the front door.
※If you are unsure how to open the door lock, please check here.

3.Open the hot water taps in the kitchen and bathroom.
4.Open the two "drain valves" located at the bottom of the water heater to drain the water inside.
※If the drain plug is difficult to turn, please use a tool such as pliers.

6.Please close the hot water taps in the kitchen and bathroom.
This completes the process of draining water from the water heater.
〈Precautions regarding water drainage procedures〉
・ If you forget to close the drain valve when performing step 5. above, water will spurt out from under the water heater when you open the water supply tap.
・During the procedure described in procedure 6. above, if you forget to close the tap, water leakage may occur when the water is turned on. Be sure to close the tap securely at the end of the process.
・If the drain plug is difficult to turn, please use pliers (as shown in the image below).
