A

〈Procedure for draining water from an outdoor water heater〉

1.Fully open the hot water faucets in the kitchen and bathroom and make sure that the hot water is turned off.

At this point, leave the hot water faucets in the kitchen and bathroom open.

※If water comes out of the faucet with force, perform the steps above starting from 1.after "Running water with electric drain control panel" or "Draining with a drain valve"

2.Open the door below the water heater on the right or left side of the front door.

3.Open the two drain valves located under the water heater.

※If the drain plug is difficult to turn, use a tool such as pliers.

4.Drain all the water from the water heater through the drain valve.

※Leave the drain valve open for about 15 minutes and the water will drain out completely.

5.Once all the water has been drained from the water heater, close the drain plug securely.

6.Tightly close any kitchen and bathroom faucets that were left open in step 1. above.

This completes the draining process for the water heater.

〈Precautions when draining water〉

・If you forget to close the drain valve when performing step 5) above, water will spurt out from under the water heater when you open the water supply tap. After draining the water, be sure to tighten the drain plug securely.

・If you forget to turn off the faucet when performing step 6. above, water will leak when the water is running. Be sure to close the tap tightly at the end.

・If the drain plug is difficult to turn, use pliers (see below).
