When purchasing new pot and pans, look for the 「IH」 mark, as it will be certified by the Product Safety Corporate Association.

Check the maker/model number of the Radiation/IH heater installed in your room and look for the manual on the list below (Japanese manuals).

■ How to clean:
Items to prepare:
・Baking soda
・Water
・Sponge
・Rag
Instructions:
① Mix the baking soda and water in the ratio of three to one to make a paste.
② Apply the paste ① with a sponge onto the oil stains.
③ Leave it for about 10 minutes.
④ Rub the dirt with the sponge.
⑤ Wet the rag with water, wring it tightly, and wipe the dirt with the rag.
※Be careful with the water close to the electric stove, as it may cause a short-circuit.
■ If there is no improvement even after cleaning.

■ Please check the following items:
・Check if the circuit breaker is ON.
Only the breaker switch of the electric stove area may be off.

・Check the material and shape of the pot (IH heater).
The heater lamp will start to blink after 1 minute to indicate that the material of the pot is not compatible with the IH heater.

・Is the power (main switch) of the stove properly on?
For safety, the heater has a two-steps switch operation to be able to turn on. Check the details <How to operate>, before using the stove.
・Try unplugging the power cable and plug in back again.
If there is a problem with the configuration, restarting the stove may solve the problem.
Place the pot/pan on the heater before turning it on.
① Turn on the main switch (hold it down longer than 0.5 sec, until the beeping sound).
② Turn on the heater***(hold down for 0.3 sec or longer)***
③ Press the heat power button to control

Confirm the manufacturer and model number of IH heater and radiant heater, and check the "instruction manual".

If the fire on the burner is not turning on, check the details below:
・ Check if hot water is still coming from the faucet.
Since the water heater also uses gas for the hot water, if the water is cold, the problem may be with the gas supply. Try restoring the gas connection.
・ If only the gas stove is not turning on, check if the gas valve of the stove.
For the gas valve connected to the stove, check here.
・ Check if the batteries are placed correctly and if still have charge.
There is a cover for the batteries on the front side of the gas stove.
If the fire is not turning on or going off as soon as you release the heater knob, there may be a problem with the batteries.
Check the stove and change the batteries if they have run out.
The batteries are in an opening either on the left or right side on the front of the gas stove.
The batteries may also be running low if the fire goes off right after you turn it on.
After checking,the change of the batteries must be performed by the tenant.

■ Stove with two burners:

※Some models, such as the Paloma PD-20S etc. the batteries are inside the top cover of the stove.
The support (trivet) or the burner cap may detached or loose.
Check and return it to the normal position if it is detached or loose.
※Be sure to turn off the fire and let the parts to cool down before touching it.

If there is no improvement, check the manufacturer and model number and file an [Inquiry Form].
If you spill water over the electric stove and water infiltrates, a short-circuit may break the stove making the circuit breaker switch trip when it's plugged to the power.
In some cases, the stove may start to work again when the water evaporates, after left to dry for 1 to 2 days.
The breaker may also trip when you use too much electricity at the same time, overloading the breaker.

Some stove models have both IH and radiation burners.
Some 2 burners type stove models like the ones on the pictures presented below, the front burner will be an IH heater while the rear burner will be a radiation heater.
※ There will be an "IH" mark on the surface of the burner.

If all the heat power lights are blinking about one minute after use, you may be using a pot that cannot be used with an IH heater.
Please be sure that your cookware is "IH only"
【 Regarding the IH heater 】
・ IH heater does no heat just by turning on the switch.
When the switch is turned on and an IH cookware is on the plate, heat is generated for the first time.

Check the types below and try following the instructions.
※When cleaning the exhaust vent, be sure to turn off the fan switch.
Cleaning instructions:
① Hold one of the sides of the cover and pull it down.
※Be careful to not get your fingers caught when opening/closing the cover.


The switches for the light and exhaust fan are usually attached to the electric stove.
Check the panel of the stove to operate the fan/light.
● For the models shown below, you must turn on the stove power first to be able to operate the buttons for the exhauster fan or light.
If you do not turn on the power of the stove, the light/vent buttons will not respond.
※ Hold down the stove's power button for 2~3 seconds to turn it on.

If the instructions above does not work, try unplugging the power plug and plugging it back.
You can find the power plug in the cupboard below the stove/sink.
If the stove is also not turning on, check if the circuit breaker switches are all on.
If there is no improvement, report the details by filing an [Inquiry Form].
If the exhauster fan is being used for a long time without cleaning, the dust and dirt that builds up may cause the fan to malfunction or start making noise.
Try removing the cover and checking if there is dust and dirt building up and clean the inside of the fan.
