Notes regarding air conditioner installation:
-
When you leave the room by the end of the contract, make sure to uninstall the additional air conditioner, close and repair the duct to the way when you entered the room.
-
The LeoPalace management will not buy or keep the air conditioner that was installed even by the tenant request. Please, uninstall all parts before leaving the room.
-
You can not open new holes or ducts if they are not already available in the room.
Ground wires are used to prevent electrical discharges when an appliance causes a short circuit.
There will be no problem with the performance of the appliance if it is not connected, but specially with appliances that is used close to water such as the refrigerator or the washing machine, the ground wire will give one more safety option.
Check the following video on how to connect the ground wire.
The standard electric capacity in Leopalace rooms is 30 amperes.
If you use too much electricity at the same time, the breaker will trip after exceeding the capacity.
Check the table of the main appliances in the room and the estimate usage. We recommend to not turn on more than 2 appliances with high electrical use at the same time.
Appliances that uses highs quantities of electricity:
Air conditioner ・ Microwave ・ Electric stove ・ Hair dryer
※The power consumption of an appliance will vary for each manufacturer and model. For more accurate power consumption, please check the label or manual of the product being used.
You can use the appliances adding up to total of 30Amps before the breaker trips.
・ Amps (A) = Watt (W) ÷ Volt (V)
・ 1 Amp = 100W
・ 10 Amps = 1000W (1Kilowatt)
・ 30 Amps means that the available power consumption is up to 3000W at the same time.
・ The voltage supplied to the room is 100v. (The electric stove range can be 200V)
・ The list shows the power consumption of one heater of a standard stove.
Any product labeled "50/60Hz" can be used regardless of the region.
If only "50Hz" or "60Hz" is written on the label, it can be only used in determined regions.
For more details, check directly with the manufacturer of the product.
・ The electric frequency in the Eastern Japan is mostly "50Hz" and "60Hz" for the Western Japan.
The boundary for the electric frequency difference is from Fujikawa river in Shizuoka prefecture up to Itoigawa river in Niigata prefecture.
・ If you do not know the frequency of the region you live in or where you are planning to moving to, please check with the region electric supply company.
・ Those that can be used at 50Hz and 60Hz:
Television, Radio, Toaster, Kotatsu, Electric blanket etc.
・ Those that can be used even if the frequency is different, but its performance changes:
Vacuum cleaner, Fan, Processor, Refrigerator, Air conditioner, Dryer etc.
・ Those that cannot be used if the frequency is different:
Washing machine, Microwave etc.
Contact the manufacturer or electronics store for specific details.
Are all switches on the breaker set to ON (入)?
Check the switch on the electric breaker inside the room.
(The breaker is usually in a higher place close to the entrance or the washing machine area.)
Some buildings have Fire Prevention Outlets installed in the rooms.
The fire prevention outlet holes are narrow, making it intentionally harder to plug the power cords.
You can move the plug up and down to make the pins easier to plug.
If the room has no electricity after you enter (or during an outage) or the breaker is turned off, after the electricity is restored, you will need to reset the outlet to be able to use it again.
Check the instructions below on how to reset.
Fire Prevention Outlet (Electricity/Fire/Tracking prevention outlet):
The outlet type S will have a red and green lamp blinking when the electricity is restored and it will be unusable until the reset.

How to reset the fire prevention outlet):
Use a pointy object, such as a pen head, to press the reset "リセット" button.
The outlet will be working when the green light is on.

If there is no improvement, please inform us by filing an [Inquiry Form] .
※ The fire prevention outlet will turn off the power on the following cases:
-
After an strong tremor, around 5 points on JMA scale. (earthquake fire prevention)
-
Right after the electricity starts running (sudden energization fire prevention)
-
When high temperatures are detected around the outlet. (Wiring fire prevention)
※It is not possible to move or take the appliances that are already installed in the room.
Do not bring any of the installations, appliances or furniture outside the room (including the veranda and communal areas) to other rooms or buildings. The appliances must be kept inside the room and maintained while renting the room.
・Trouble with the air conditioner.
・Trouble with the refrigerator.
・Trouble with the washing machine.
