The air conditioner remote controller is not working (Universal Controller).

Q

The air conditioner remote controller is not working (Universal Controller).

A

Some rooms of our buildings have an universal controller [Multi Controller] set for the air conditioner in the room.

※The universal controllers are able to work on most air conditioner manufacturers and models once configurated.

Check here where the controller is set in the room.

【Universal controllers】 ※ The image below shows the main models available.

If the air conditioner is not responding to the universal controller, check the details below:

■ If the display is weak or not showing the letters:

The controller may be running out of batteries.

Please, replace the batteries when it runs out of charge.

※Do not mix old discharged batteries with new charged ones.

※Be sure to fit the poles (+-) correctly.

※If the batteries run out of charge within the first month into your room contract, you may request a replacement for free to the management of the building. File the details into an 『Inquiry Form』.

■ The buttons are not responding:

Check if the controller buttons are not locked.

When the controller buttons are locked, there will be an icon on the screen and the display won't change even after pressing the buttons. (The icon looks like a lock mark)

<How to unlock>

Press both MODE『モード』 and Wind strength 『風量』 buttons for 3 or more seconds.

■ Some of the buttons are not responding:

If the air conditioner does not respond when you press the on/off button or does not respond when you try one of the functions, there may be a problem with the configuration code of the universal controller.

Example: You can change the cold air with the controller but it does not respond when changing to hot air.

※If it does not solve the problem, file an 『Inquiry Form』 with the details.

※Also, check if the air conditioner can turn on with the manual button on the unit check here the instructions.
